The No. 21 Florida Gators will host the No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels for a highly-anticipated SEC clash this coming Saturday. Ole Miss is 3-0 to open the year, fresh off a top-10 victory over the visiting LSU Tigers in Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford. Florida is also undefeated to start the year, taking down the Auburn Tigers on the road this past Saturday.
While the Rebels are ranked as a top-5 team in the country, the Gators are actually listed as a 3.5-point betting favorite for their upcoming matchup at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Florida coach Jon Sumrall was not aware that his team was listed as the favorite. When informed of that fact during a press conference on Monday, he gave a hilarious response.
Florida has a tough schedule ahead, facing off against three teams currently ranked in the top five over the next five games. The Gators have back-to-back games against the No. 1 Texas Longhorns and No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs scheduled for late next month. Saturday's Ole Miss-Florida contest will kick off at 3:30 p.m.
