A former NC State quarterback wants to see Philp Rivers on the sidelines for the Wolfpack next fall.

A former NC State quarterback said he would love to see the team hire Philip Rivers as its new head coach. Definitely on there, is Philip Rivers, and he may be number one,” Glennon said.

That they love this guy, and to raise money, I don’t think there is another person in the country right now that could raise money for NC State fans like what Philip Rivers would do.” Rivers was a standout player at NC State, throwing for 13,484 yards and 95 touchdowns from 2000 to 2003. During his final season, Rivers was selected as ACC Offensive Player of the Year and ACC Player of the Year. After NC State, Rivers played 18 NFL seasons and threw for 63,948 yards and 425 touchdowns for the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts.
