The Clemson Tigers opened their 2026 college football season with a massive 51-10 blowout loss at the hands of the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge. This coming Saturday, Clemson will host Georgia Southern for a non-conference matchup at Memorial Stadium. In a press conference on Tuesday, Georgia Southern defensive back Aaron Sears was asked if he views the Tigers as "vulnerable" coming off this past Saturday's blowout loss in primetime.
"I'm happy and pumped up for it." The Tigers are listed as heavy favorites over the visiting Eagles this weekend, but Sears and his squad are clearly confident in their ability to mount an upset on the road. Georgia Southern is full of confidence following their season-opening blowout over Charleston Southern this past weekend, which saw them come out on top with a 31-0 final score. Saturday's Georgia Southern-Clemson matchup will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
