Thousands of people have reported that AT&T is experiencing an outage on Monday afternoon, according to DownDetector. ET, DownDetector showed 2,383 reports of problems had been documented. At the height of the outage at 3:32 p.m.

ET, there were 5,900 outages reported. The company’s support X account, @ATTHelp, has been responding directly to customers amid the reports, telling users it will check coverage in their area and “look into options to resolve” the reported issue. It is immediately unclear to Newsweek at the time of publication whether the outage impacts phone service, internet Wi-Fi or both.

Newsweek reached out to AT&T on Monday via email for comment. In a post on X, AT&T wrote its “specialized tech team is working hard” to get services back up and running, adding that the timeframe for a resolution could vary depending on factors including the severity of the issue. Many users in Texas have been reporting issues, according to Newsweek's review of AT&T's help responses on X.
