New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart got his 2026 season started on the right foot with an impressive performance in the team's upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Dart had no issues carving up the Cowboys defense on Sunday, completing 79.3 percent of his passes and throwing for three touchdowns while avoiding any turnovers in the 28-20 victory. It was about as clean of a performance as we have ever seen from Dart as the quarterback of the Giants, which has two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Phil Simms singing his praises following the game.

"Jaxson Dart, I think he literally played a perfect game," said Phil Simms. "He was so accurate throwing the football.
He doesn't miss, and he didn't miss last night. He made some nice, soft, beautiful throws early. And at the end, he's throwing rockets to guys that are about eight yards down the field in front of him because they are trying to run the game out.

Based on Sunday's game, it sure seems like that leap into becoming one of the top quarterbacks in football may very well be a possibility for the former Ole Miss standout.
Dart will look to build on the positive momentum from the Giants' Week 1 win when they face off against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, who dropped their season-opening game to the San Francisco 49ers in Australia.
