Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy had the opportunity to follow Lane Kiffin to LSU prior to the 2026 season. However, the college football star elected to stay put with the Rebels as Kiffin left the program before last year's College Football Playoff. On Saturday night, Ole Miss will host Kiffin and the Tigers for a highly-anticipated matchup in Oxford.
Because of his rocky departure from the program last year, Kiffin is expected to receive a not-so-warm welcome at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Lacy was asked about his current relationship with Kiffin while speaking to reporters on Tuesday. "Really don't have a relationship with him," Lacy said.
"Just focused on the season." Ole Miss opened up its 2026 season with back-to-back wins over Louisville and Charlotte. Lacy led the team in rushing through both games, combining for 148 yards and three touchdowns. The Lane Kiffin era in Baton Rouge is also off to a good start.
The Tigers began their season with dominant wins over Clemson and Louisiana Tech. Saturday's game will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
