Jets HC Aaron Glenn Reveals Week 1 Outlook for Breece Hall, Kenyon Sadiq

With Week 1 approaching, Jets coach Aaron Glenn provided encouraging updates on Breece Hall and Kenyon Sadiq's injury timelines.

Breece Hall is arguably the New York Jets' most dangerous offensive weapon, and rookie Kenyon Sadiq is a first-round pick and the top tight end from the 2026 NFL Draft class. The fact that neither player has been at Jets practice recently is far from ideal, with the regular season set to begin in just a few weeks. But according to head coach Aaron Glenn, Jets fans may not have to wait much longer for either player to return to the field.

Glenn said Monday that both Hall and Sadiq are on track to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, along with second-round rookie cornerback D'Angelo Ponds, who's recovering from a calf strain, and third-year running back Isaiah Davis, who's recovering from a minor knee injury. At the time, it was estimated he would miss around two to three weeks.

With the Jets opening the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 13, against the Titans in Tennessee, that gives Hall more than enough time to get ready. Sadiq's injury goes back further. He's been dealing with recovery and a setback from hernia surgery he had in May, which forced him to miss OTAs, mandatory minicamp, and most of training camp.

But he appears to be nearing a return to practice, and the coaching staff is confident he'll be ready for Week 1. Glenn is entering a crucial season as Jets head coach. Last season, his first in the role, the team finished 3-14 and struggled throughout the year on both sides of the ball.

This season, New York can't afford a repeat — Glenn's future with the franchise may depend on it, and elite talents like Hall and Sadiq will be relied upon to help turn things around. More news: 2026 NFL Award Predictions: MVP, OPOY, DPOY and Every Major Honor
