Fox News Digital confirmed Tuesday that the Kennedy Center board voted to immediately close the main building of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., citing safety and funding concerns. Two additional sources told Fox News the board approved the closure during a special meeting. A public statement is expected.
The vote came hours after a federal judge again blocked the Kennedy Center from adding President Donald Trump’s name to the building and plaza.
