Kenneth Walker III put on a masterful performance in his debut with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, rushing for 173 yards and a touchdowns while reeling in three catches for 18 yards and an additional score through the air. Walker gave the Chiefs a new facet that they certainly didn't have last season: a bell-cow running back with the ability to take over a game with his legs. After the Chiefs' 31-10 win over the Broncos, veteran tight end Travis Kelce was asked to evaluate Walker's debut performance.
I think his game speaks for itself, man. We love that guy and we love blocking for him," Kelce said. "We know it's a touchdown waiting to happen on every single carry.

Walker, the reigning Super Bowl MVP, signed a three-year, $43.05 million contract with the Chiefs in free agency this past offseason. Now one game into the year, it appears that was an excellent investment for the Kansas City franchise.
The Chiefs will continue their 2026 campaign with a Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
