Lane Kiffin fell to his former team upon his highly-anticipated return to Oxford on Saturday night, as the Ole Miss Rebels took down the visiting LSU Tigers with a 32-24 final score. Vaught-Hemingway Stadium was absolutely rocking. Raucous Ole Miss fans delivered a hostile environment for Kiffin and the Tigers as they attempted to mount a comeback in the second half.
LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt had a lackluster showing in the top-10 matchup, completing just 16 of his 27 pass attempts for 158 yards, one touchdown and one interception. When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Kiffin said crowd noise and music playing through the stadium speakers contributed to his quarterback's struggles. There were a lot of factors that go into that," Kiffin said.
