Jahmyr Gibbs was announced as the No. 9 player on the 2026 NFL Top 100 rankings, as voted on by the league's active players. Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons was one of the players interviewed for the annual rankings. And when asked about Gibbs, he made a bold declaration about the Detroit Lions running back.
"You just never know when he's going to break you one." Gibbs logged yet another elite running back season in 2025, rushing for 1,223 yards and 13 touchdowns, while reeling in 77 catches for 616 yards and five more scores. The previous year, he recorded 1,929 yards from scrimmage and a league-leading 20 rushing/receiving touchdowns. Just one day after Gibbs was announced as the No. 9 ranked player on the NFL Top 100, Parsons landed the No. 8 spot.
The Lions will open up their regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 13. They'll take the field for their first matchup against the Packers in Week 7.
