While losing Garrett for this stretch is significant, they played well in a 28-6 Week 2 win over the New York Giants. However, that Giants team also lost starting quarterback Jaxson Dart early in the game, and backup Jameis Winston struggled as his replacement.
The Rams' defense, currently sixth in the NFL in yards allowed, added two new cornerbacks this offseason: former Kansas City Chiefs corners Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie. In addition, legendary Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald recently returned from retirement and contributed on defense against the Giants in his first NFL game in over two years. However, the team faces a tough test in "Sunday Night Football" as they'll be on the road once again, and this time facing the altitude at the Broncos' Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.
