Nick Sirianni Says He Feels 'Complete Support' From Eagles Owner Amid Skid

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni says he feels "complete support" from owner Jeffrey Lurie despite a six-game losing streak.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Wednesday that he still feels supported by owner Jeffrey Lurie as his team tries to end a six-game losing streak. Lurie in everything.” The Eagles (2-6) are last in the NFC East. Sirianni said his communication with Lurie has remained consistent through wins and losses, and he wants to provide that same steadiness to his players.

Philadelphia lost 27-10 to Washington on Sunday after taking a 10-0 first-quarter lead. The Commanders scored the final 27 points, and the Eagles went scoreless after halftime. Washington recorded five sacks, eight quarterback hits and nine tackles for loss.

Running back Saquon Barkley averaged 2.3 yards on 13 carries, while Philadelphia's longest run was quarterback Tanner McKee's 15-yard scramble. Those results make the offensive problems difficult to pin on one position. A quarterback change would put a different player behind an offense that struggled both to protect its passer and establish the run.

Philadelphia ranks 30th in scoring at 17.1 points per game under first-year offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been sidelined with blood clots in his lungs, and right tackle Lane Johnson retired. Sirianni reached the playoffs in each of his first five seasons, including two Super Bowl appearances and a championship following the 2024 season.

This losing streak is Philadelphia's longest since eight straight defeats in 2012. Another change is reportedly coming before Sunday's home game against the Giants. ESPN reported Wednesday, citing sources, that quarterback Joe Milton will start in place of McKee.

Sirianni had said Monday that McKee would remain the starter. McKee completed 63.2% of his passes for 638 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during his three starts. The Eagles signed Milton from Dallas' practice squad on Oct. 16.
