A team searching for the remains of Noah’s Ark in a boat-shaped formation in Turkey have built a 3D model of the vessel "as it currently rests." U.S.-based group Noah’s Ark Scans is part of an international group of archaeologists, geologists and soil scientists who are investigating whether the famous Durupınar Formation contains remains of the biblical vessel. They started drilling last month and have since extracted samples that they are testing for wood. Noah's Ark Scans, whose members have said they believe the ship is in the formation, are hoping the samples they collected from the structure are wood, to disprove studies that have previously concluded it is "a completely natural rock formation." It has not established that the formation contains a vessel.
The group on Monday shared images of a new 3D model it has built with the help of Field Tech They captioned it: "A 3D scale model of the Ark as it currently rests has been completed! This model was built using the GPR (ground-penetrating radar) Data taken at the site." This is a developing story - more to follow.
