The New England Patriots picked up an impressive 45-17 win against the Las Vegas Raiders in their last game, but star running back TreVeyon Henderson was injured during the matchup. Now, an update has been provided on Henderson, and it is certainly an unfortunate one. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Henderson suffered a high ankle sprain and is expected to miss multiple weeks for the Patriots.
With Henderson being an important part of the Patriots' offense, it is brutal news that he is going to be out for multiple weeks. This is especially so when noting that the Patriots are trying to catch up to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East. However, Schefter also reported that Henderson will not need surgery for his injury.
This is at least a positive development for the Patriots, but it is still bad news that he is expected to miss multiple games. Henderson is currently in his second season with the Patriots. In four games so far this campaign for New England, he has posted one touchdown, 42 rushes, and 163 rushing yards.
This is after he had nine touchdowns, 80 rushes, and 911 rushing yards in 17 games with the Patriots as a rookie last year.
