The Penn State Nittany Lions officially announced the date and opponent for its annual "White Out" game on Tuesday. As expected, the Nittany Lions' matchup against the USC Trojans on Oct. 10 will be played in one of the most iconic college football atmospheres at Beaver Stadium. Kickoff of the "White Out" game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
ET and will be broadcast on NBC. The last time these two teams faced off, the Nittany Lions mounted a thrilling 33-30 overtime victory over the home-team Trojans at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 2024. The last time USC made the trip to Happy Valley was in 1994, when Penn State secured a dominant 38-14 final score.
Last year's "White Out" game didn't turn out well for Penn State as they suffered a disappointing double-overtime loss at the hands of the visiting Oregon Ducks. This marked the Nittany Lions' first loss of the season, leading to the ultimate dismissal of long-time program leader James Franklin. This year's clash against USC marks the first "White Out" game of the Matt Campbell coaching era.
Penn State will open up its 2026 schedule with a matchup against the Marshall Thundering Herd on Sept. 5.
