Raiders' Klint Kubiak Facing Backlash for 'Lying' About Brock Bowers

newsweek.com 10.09.2026 02:24 6 views
NFL fans are not happy with Klint Kubiak following his inaccurate statement about Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers.

On Wednesday afternoon, reports emerged indicating that Brock Bowers will miss at least the first game of the Las Vegas Raiders' 2026 season. Bowers sustained an injury during training camp and underwent a meniscus trim procedure in Dallas on Tuesday. The superstar tight end was diagnosed with the injury and scheduled for surgery sometime last week, according to NFL insiders Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.

Just a few hours before this news broke, Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak was directly asked about Bowers' availability for Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Kubiak is facing some serious backlash from NFL fans, who are accusing him of "lying" about Bowers. "Straight out lied to our faces.

Kubiak, needs to read the room. We want openness and honesty after all these years of losing and mismanagement. This looks like more of the same," one wrote.

"He hasn’t even coached a game and I’m already never going to believe another word he says," another said. "Not really sure the point of lying about this. So it stays secret for another hour?

"I mean… this is outright fraud, no?" another asked. Without Bowers, the Raiders will kick off against the Dolphins at 4:25 p.m.
