Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers was not available for practice on Wednesday as the team prepares for its Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Bowers underwent a meniscus trimming procedure just days before the Raiders' season-opening win over the Miami Dolphins. Initial reports indicated that he would miss "a game or two" to open up the 2026 season.
When speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak said he's hopeful that Bowers will be able to take the practice field at some point this week. For now, the star TE is still listed as day-to-day. ESPN NFL reporter Dan Graziano believes the Raiders are being cautious with Bowers, who missed five games due to injury last season.
"But the organization is determined to be careful and not play him until they're 100% certain he's not being affected by the knee. I believe the latest you'll see Bowers is Week 4 against the Chiefs." The Raiders will kick off against the Chargers at 4:05 p.m.
