The Los Angeles Rams are less than a week away from a primetime matchup against the Buffalo Bills on "Monday Night Football." The Rams come into the game at 2-2, while the Bills sit at 3-1, with both teams still firmly in contention for a Super Bowl run. The Rams are also dealing with several injuries on defense, including future Hall of Famers Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald. With LA gearing up for a high-profile clash against one of the most high-powered offenses in the NFL, they've added some more depth by signing veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks to their practice squad.
Kendricks was a second-round pick by the Vikings in 2015 out of UCLA and is a California native returning to the LA area after previously playing for the Chargers in 2023. His best season came in 2019 with the Vikings, when he earned Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors after posting 110 combined tackles, including 70 solo, four tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 0.5 sacks, and 12 pass breakups across 15 games.
He's started 143 games in his career and posted 100-plus total tackles in nine straight seasons. That's exactly the kind of veteran presence a contender like the Rams could use right now. Kendricks should slot in nicely alongside those players while the Rams wait for Garrett to return. However, with Garrett still on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery in late September, there's no clear timeline for when he'll be back.
