Rams Will Reportedly Pursue WR Trade After Major Davante Adams Injury

The Los Angeles Rams could try to acquire a wide receiver before the trade deadline after Davante Adams' hamstring injury.

The Los Angeles Rams will play the next six to 10 weeks without Davante Adams, who suffered a ruptured hamstring late in Sunday's shocking loss to the Arizona Cardinals. They may seek reinforcements to help save a disappointing season. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the Rams "will at least explore the possibility of trading for a wide receiver" before the Nov. 10 deadline.

The insider doesn't expect the Rams to wave the white flag despite Adams joining star pass rusher Myles Garrett on the shelf. "Even with a 2-4 record, four games out of first place in their division, Adams out at least six weeks and Garrett likely out another two or three weeks at least, this is a Rams team that had the highest of hopes for 2026 and still believes it can play well enough to salvage this season," Graziano wrote. However, Graziano noted a potential obstacle to the Rams making a significant deadline move.

They're low on draft capital after sending the Cleveland Browns a 2027 first-round pick for Garrett and giving the Kansas City Chiefs a third-rounder in next year's draft for cornerback Trent McDuffie. Graziano posed an interesting alternative, wondering if another team would want Stetson Bennett. Although the 28-year-old is currently the Rams' QB2 behind Matthew Stafford, rookie Ty Simpson appears to be a more important future piece.

Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken was Bennett's quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at Georgia. Graziano didn't go further than noting that former connection, but Browns wideout Jerry Jeudy has emerged as a potential midseason trade candidate. For now, Stafford may lean heavily on Puka Nacua when the Rams play the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday.

Beyond Nacua and Adams, their wide receivers have 13 combined receptions this season.
