Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was unavailable for practice again on Monday as he continues to deal with a core muscle injury. Nacua suffered this injury during last week's joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys, and hasn't returned to the field since. This past Thursday, head coach Sean McVay said he expects his superstar pass catcher to return to practice sometime this week.
Myles Garrett, the Rams' blockbuster trade acquisition and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, also missed Monday's practice session as he continues to deal with swelling in his knee. Nacua is an integral part of the Rams' offense, led by reigning league MVP Matthew Stafford. Last year, the superstar pass catcher led the NFL with 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Rams opened up their preseason schedule with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs this past weekend. On Saturday, they'll host the New Orleans Saints for another preseason contest. Los Angeles will open up its 2026 regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 10.
