Fontaines D.C., teamed up with Rosalía for a new track, “Where Is Gone?” The song, produced by James Ford, is the third release from the band’s forthcoming LP, Dopamine Chamber, and marks the first artist collaborations on a Fontaines D.C. album. For someone with roots in both countries, it’s been beautiful to see. She’s an artist who’s blown me away at every stage since.” The ballad finds Fontaines’ Grian Chatten and Rosalía trading lines over a moody acoustic strum that repeatedly swells with strings and clattering drums.
The group previously shared two songs from the album, “Marianne” and “Tongue.” Per a press release, Dopamine Chamber‘s material encompasses the news items we see in our endless scroll, including the rise of AI, celebrity gossip, political violence, the existential threat of climate change, and all the gratifying memes they spawn. At the 67th Grammy Awards, the album was nominated for Best Rock Album and the record’s lead single, “Starburster,” was nominated for Best Alternative Music Performance. The band will headline arenas in the U.K. and Europe in October and November before heading to Asia in January and Australia and New Zealand in February.
They’re set to perform at Lollapalooza in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil in March. Their North American headlining tour kicks off April 22 at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston.
