From 2011 to 2024, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson took the court together as the Golden State Warriors' "Splash Brothers." But before the 2024-25 NBA season, Thompson left Curry and the Warriors to sign with the Dallas Mavericks. Now, the veteran sharpshooter is beginning his first campaign as a member of the Miami Heat. During a recent appearance on "The Stephen A.
Smith Show," Curry opened up about the departure of his former long-time teammate. But that’s part of the NBA. Once he left, was that three years ago now?
You know everything’s not going to be the same because we all grew up together. I’m happy for him in Miami," Curry said.
Curry and the Warriors will open up their regular-season campaign with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. Thompson will make his Heat debut in a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
