The Kansas City Chiefs lost two of their top wide receiver weapons during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. First, Rashee Rice pulled up with hamstring injury early in the game. And later in the contest, Tyquan Thornton was carted off the field with a gruesome ankle dislocation.
The Chiefs are primed with an impressive 4-0 record, but clearly need some reinforcements at the wide receiver position. Enter five-time First Team All-Pro pass catcher Tyreek Hill, who spent the first six seasons of his NFL career as a superstar WR for the Chiefs. Hill has made it very clear that he would like to reunite with the Chiefs at some point this season.
And in the wake of Sunday's Week 4 win, reports indicate that those feelings are mutual. The Chiefs are "very interested" in signing Hill, according to a report from The Athletic. ESPN broadcast personality Stephen A.
Smith is guaranteeing a Chiefs Super Bowl victory if Hill signs with the team. "If the Kansas City Chiefs get Tyreek Hill, and Tyreek Hill is at 80% — I didn't say 100%, I said 80% — I am guaranteeing you that the Kansas City Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl championship," Smith said on "First Take." Hill suffered a gruesome leg injury with the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 of the 2025 season. Now four weeks into 2026, he's still without an NFL team.
Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he anticipates Hill signing with a team sometime in the next few days.
