Your favorite sapphic murder show has officially been renewed for not two but three seasons. You know we’re talking about The Hunting Wives. (Warning, season 1 spoilers ahead.) That’s right, the campy series based on May Cobb’s best-selling novel is almost back for season two, and Netflix has already confirmed season three is in the works. "Buckle up, because Season 3 will be even more scandalous and twisted.” Netflix first announced season two in September of last year, sharing the news with a dramatic Instagram reel starring the show’s leading ladies, Brittany Snow and Malin Ackerman—and you really have watch it for yourselves.
We’re going back to Maple Brook for season two, baby,” Ackerman says after Snow promises to give up her “dignity” and “morals” for a chance to see her costar again. The FaceTime skit was very Sophie-and-Margo-coded, but don’t expect their characters to be in each other’s good graces when season 2 picks up. Here’s everything we know about The Hunting Wives season 2.
When will The Hunting Wives season 2 premiere? Season two hits Netflix on November 26, 2026. How many episodes will there be?
Season 2 will return with eight episodes. What will season 2 be about? At the end of season one, Sophie killed Margo’s brother in self-defense after discovering her lover was Abby’s killer all along (more details on that over here).
Clearly, season 2 is going to deal with the fallout of all that—but they may have to kiss and make up sooner than you’d think. Here’s the official season 2 logline, per Netflix: At the start of Season 2, Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together.
As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted? For her part, Snow hopes that Sophie doesn’t forgive Margo too soon.
