Holi is known as the Hindu festival of color, but that March celebration isn’t the only time the people of India don vibrant hues. Bright colors are a daily custom and tradition among the diverse citizenry of the country. It’s more than a fashion choice.

Red, oranges, yellows, greens and blues represent cultural, spiritual and religious themes. It’s not just garments, either. Buildings, vehicles, paintings and body art all reflect the love of color that is a signature of Indian cultures.
