The Tennessee Titans are hoping for the best after wide receiver Carnell Tate got banged up during their latest practice.

The Tennessee Titans seem to have something special in No. 4 overall pick Carnell Tate. However, that's exactly why they're holding their breath have watching him take a big hit during Monday's practice. According to AtoZ Sports Nashville, Tate had another highlight reel catch on fourth down but got banged up after colliding with Titans cornerback Cor'Dale Flott and safety Kevin Winston Jr.

Luckily, Titans head coach Robert Saleh provided a promising update on Tate's condition after practice. Saleh said he is not concerned about the hit Tate took and that while Tate will be evaluated, he is good as he walked into the building after practice, per Turron Davenport of ESPN. That's certainly good news given the amount of investment the Titans have put into Tate.

There is a strong belief that Tate can be the team's new No. 1 wide receiver, but he must stay healthy for that to happen. While some have criticized the Titans decision to make Tate a top 5 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, he has continued to make spectacular grabs all throughout the offseason. That was also the case during his time at Ohio State, where he recorded 121 catches for 1,872 yards and 14 touchdowns from 2023-25.

Tate's injury will be worth monitoring, but based on early reports, it seems the Titans have dodged a huge bullet.
