Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is notorious for his trash talking ability, which was on full display during Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. On a 3rd-and-6 play late in the second quarter, McBride put a strong move on Cowboys rookie defensive back Caleb Downs and completed a catch up the sideline at AT&T Stadium. After the reception, the superstar TE turned to Downs and delivered a brutal jab.
"You're a first-round pick? You're a first rounder?" McBride yelled in Downs' direction. The Cowboys selected Downs with their No. 11 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
McBride and the Cardinals erased a 14-point fourth quarter deficit on Sunday, storming back to force overtime. They ultimately took down the Cowboys with a 33-30 final score on a game-winning field goal kick from Chad Ryland. McBride continued his stellar season in Week 8, reeling in seven catches for 72 yards and one touchdown.
The fifth-year tight end and former second-round draft pick now has 544 yards and five touchdowns on a league-leading 66 catches so far this season. The Cardinals and Cowboys are now both 3-5 to open up the year.
