You don't want to freak out if you're wrong. I was probably wrong to not freak out more than that.
So I kind of wish I took a shot at him," O'Neill said of the incident. According to ESPN, he was one of the first players to arrive after Murray went down. O'Neill shoved Bullard after seeing the hit, and it was likely difficult to fully process the extent of what had just happened or the nature of the injury.
He kept himself composed rather than reacting with a harsher retaliatory decision. Referees gave the Packers a 15-yard penalty for Bullard's unnecessary roughness after the play. Bullard could potentially receive a fine once the NFL further reviews the incident.
Murray appeared only briefly in the first quarter, ending his Vikings debut much earlier than anyone wanted. He finished with 18 yards, throwing 3 of 5 completions, and also threw an interception. The Vikings still achieved a thrilling 39-22 comeback win over the Packers, thanks to backup quarterback Carson Wentz.
