Quick recap: Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg called Los Angeles Lakers forward Luka Doncic “whiny.” Warriors beat writer said “nah.” Doncic asked “who?” and now everyone is caught up. When the Warriors played against the Lakers on Wednesday and were blown out of the water 127-105, Lendeborg said in a post game presser that Doncic would practically beg officials to call a foul and would whine until his request was granted. Now, he’s walked back his words.
Nothing too performative. There was a few times, especially on, (when) Yaxel held him. I think he misses first five shots and when he (Doncic) misses a shot that he thinks he got a pump fake bump, but, you know, the referee doesn’t call it, he’s just doing his quick little thing as he’s getting back on defense to the ref.
Yaxel clearly came in amped up and looking for the chrip.”
