Upon seeing Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia as a kid, you probably thought you were destined to be his princess. Unfortunately for the thirsty folks of the internet, Ben is now officially off the market. On October 14, the actor announced on Instagram that he’d officially tied the knot with artist Aubrey Cleland at Oregon’s Chateau de Lis.
The couple, who have reportedly been linked for a little more than two years, remain relatively low-key and keep their relationship out of the spotlight. While we wait for more wedding deets to drop, here’s everything you need to know about Ben Barnes’s new bride, Aubrey Cleland. Per her IMDb profile, Aubrey was born on July 10, 1993, making her a 33-year-old Cancer. (For what it’s worth, she seems pretty compatible with famous Leo Ben, based on the stars!) Aubrey grew up in West Linn, Oregon, before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her career in the entertainment and art space.
Which brings me to… At least according to her portfolio, which is linked in her Instagram bio. Per her official website, “Aubrey Cleland is a self-taught abstract painter whose work begins with attention—watching how color exists in the world, how it shifts, softens, vibrates, and lands in the body. According to her aforementioned IMDb profile, Aubrey had a small role in Black Widow and even appeared in other projects like Lethal Weapon, Chasing Nightmares, The Sex Lives of College Girls, and The Row. Oh, and she also appeared in Ben’s music video for his song, “Nevermind,” which dropped in December 2024. Peep her running by his side toward the end!
I mean…she was on American Idol back in 2013 and even made it to the semifinals, which isn’t nothing! She also used to drop covers on her YouTube channel way back when, but these days, she’ll occasionally share clips of her singing at the piano on Instagram. According to KPSU College Radio, Aubrey even joined Ben on stage for a “beautiful duet” near her hometown of Portland, where “their voices melted together perfectly” in January 2025.
A source told Page Six they quietly got engaged on New Year’s Eve last year. Per the rumored report, the Shadow and Bone actor proposed to the American Idol alum “by the sea in the southwest of England,” where they were for “their first holiday together with both of their families at the time.”
