A spokesperson for Husted’s campaign told Newsweek in an emailed statement that they do not comment on public polling, but said: "We are looking forward to welcoming President Trump to Ohio, a state he won decisively three times." Newsweek contacted Brown’s campaign for comment on Monday and is awaiting a response. Trump is making the visit to Vandalia, Ohio, this weekend as part of a broader effort to campaign for Republicans in competitive races ahead of the November midterms.
Trump won Ohio in all three elections he ran in, and remains an important Republican figure in the state.
