The Atlanta Braves have made some roster moves, as they have optioned Jim Jarvis to Triple-A and called up Brewer Hicklen.

The Braves have announced that they have optioned infielder Jim Jarvis to Triple-A Gwinnett. In addition, the Braves shared that they have called up outfielder Brewer Hicklen to their major league roster. Jarvis has gotten into his first MLB action this season with the Braves.

In 38 games with the National League East club, he has recorded one home run, one triple, five doubles, 11 RBI, and a .207 batting average. Jarvis will now be looking to impress with Triple-A Gwinnett in hopes of landing a call-up to the Braves' roster before the season is over. The 25-year-old has played well when down in Triple-A this season, as he has posted six home run, 20 doubles, 36 RBI, and an impressive .313 batting average in 76 games.

As for Hicklen, he has zero home runs, three RBI, and a .368 batting average in eight games so far this season with the Braves. Overall, he has made an impact when given the chance to play for Atlanta this season. In 96 games this season with Triple-A Gwinnett, Hicklen has posted 18 home runs, 64 RBI, and a .302 batting average.

He has been one of the Triple-A club's top hitters, so it makes sense that Atlanta is giving him a look on their major league roster.
