According to MLB.com's transactions log, the Braves have signed catcher Chuckie Robinson to a minor league contract. He has also been assigned to Triple-A Gwinnett. Robinson signing this minor league contract with the Braves comes a few days after he was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Now, he will be looking to impress with Triple-A Gwinnett in hopes of having his contract selected by the Braves before the end of the season. Robinson appeared in eight games for the Dodgers this season before being released by the National League West team, where he recorded zero home runs, one RBI, and a .087 batting average. He also made one appearance for Los Angeles during the 2025 season, going 0-for-1 at the plate.
Robinson has spent most of this season at the Triple-A level, though. In 33 Triple-A games this season, he has posted five home runs, 23 RBI, and a .229 batting average. Overall, there is no real harm for the Braves to take a gamble on Robinson with this minor league deal.
He will now provide them with another catcher in their depth who has MLB experience.
