Bo Nix gave the Denver Broncos just what they wanted to see in his return to the field. After ending last season with a broken ankle, Nix finally got back into game action in Week 2 of the preseason, and it didn't take long for him to look like a winner again. Nix's last appearance came during Denver's overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC divisional round.
He broke his ankle in that game, making his preseason return something worth watching closely. There wasn't much rust to shake off. Nix played just two drives, but Denver managed to put 10 points on the board with him running the offense.
He completed 6 of 9 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown before Sean Payton called it a night. One of the biggest highlights came when Nix found new No. 1 target Jaylen Waddle up the seam. Waddle then showed exactly what Denver was hoping to add to its offense, blowing past Packers All-Pro safety Xavier McKinney for a 35-yard gain.

He later connected with running back RJ Harvey on a wheel route down the right sideline, dropping a perfectly placed pass to Harvey for a 21-yard touchdown.
It was the kind of throw that immediately gave Denver fans something to feel good about. After Nix's second drive ended with Denver drilling a 53-yard field goal, Payton shut things down for the night. That was probably enough.
