Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark didn't even need to think before revealing who is her favorite Kansas City Chiefs player ever.

Caitlin Clark has never been shy about her Kansas City Chiefs fandom, and the Indiana Fever star didn’t need long to pick her favorite player in franchise history. Clark, who grew up outside Des Moines, Iowa, rooting for the Chiefs with her family, was the guest on a bonus episode of Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast on Tuesday morning. Near the end of the episode, Kylie put her on the spot about her brother-in-law, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

I was a Tony Gonzalez fan when I was growing up too, but no, Travis is definitely my favorite Chiefs player of all time, and Patrick (Mahomes) is right behind him. It’s been very fun to follow (them). It’s just, like, they make it look so easy.” Clark, who’s sat with Kelce’s wife Taylor Swift at multiple Chiefs games over the last two seasons, also named Kelce among her favorite Chiefs on his “New Heights” podcast in January of last year.

That’s high praise considering the competition. Gonzalez is a Pro Football Hall of Famer who spent his first 12 seasons in Kansas City, while Mahomes is a three-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP. But it’s hard to argue with Kelce’s resume.

The 37-year-old entered his 14th season as the Chiefs’ all-time leader in catches (1,080), receiving yards (13,002) and touchdown receptions (82), and he’s won three Super Bowls while teaming up with Mahomes. Clark also made sure to put it out there that she believes Kelce and Mahomes will win Lombardi Trophy No. 4 this year. After a 5-0 start, Kansas City dropped two straight to the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.

Sunday’s defeat in Denver knocked the Chiefs out of first place in the AFC West, with the 6-2 Broncos now sitting atop the division.
