The Arizona Cardinals' quarterback carousel continues, with a third different starter set to take the field in as many weeks. Rookie third-round pick Carson Beck started the Hall of Fame Game against Carolina and looked like one of the better players on the field, going 15 of 19 for 188 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions, despite it being his first live NFL action. He also, however, injured his ribs during the game and remains day-to-day.
Jacoby Brissett, expected to be the team's Week 1 starter, started last week against the Raiders, going 5 of 5 for 44 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game. Now, it looks like Gardner Minshew — presumed to be the Cardinals' third-string quarterback — will start Saturday against the Cowboys, according to head coach Mike LaFleur. LaFleur also told reporters that Beck is ramping up his practice reps and hasn't technically been ruled out for Saturday, though he's unlikely to play.

He spent last season with the Chiefs, backing up Patrick Mahomes, but suffered a bone bruise in his first start after Mahomes went down with a torn ACL/LCL late in the year, forcing Minshew to miss the rest of the season. With Arizona, he didn't play in the Hall of Fame Game but was arguably the best quarterback on the field in the following Raiders matchup, finishing 14 of 16 for 101 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
He'll look to carry that momentum into Saturday against the Cowboys. Brissett is still expected to be the QB1 once the regular season begins, but if he were to go down with an injury, either Minshew or Beck would be brought in to steady the offense.
