Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and Chicago Bulls No. 4 overall draft pick Caleb Wilson sat behind the Cubs dugout for their game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday night. Williams wore Pete Crow-Armstrong jerseys, supporting his campaign as the leading favorite for the NL MVP trophy. Williams and Wilson were accompanied by Bulls forward Matas Buzelis and music video director Cole Bennett.
Video of them starting a PCA chant at Wrigley Field went viral on social media. During a recent appearance on "Hot Ones," Williams credited Crow-Armstrong, Buzelis and Bennett as people who helped him find love for the city of Chicago. The Cubs secured a 2-1 victory over the visiting Brewers.
Crow-Armstrong hit his 39th home run of the year to get the job done. "That was cool, I don't know what inning they put Caleb up on the scoreboard, but it was cool seeing them down there," Cubs manager Craig Counsell told reporters after the game. "Meeting Wilson from the Bulls earlier was really fun, he seems like a great kid, and I'm excited to watch him play.
I know Pete's got a relationship with some of those guys, so that was very cool." Williams and the Bears will begin their 2026 NFL season with a Week 1 matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 13.
