Philadelphia Eagles offense tackle Lane Johnson is looking to go out with a bang in what is likely his final NFL season in 2026. Johnson missed seven regular-season games in 2025 as he dealt with injury issues. As a result, the Eagles' offensive line unit wasn't nearly as proficient as it was throughout the team's Super Bowl campaign the year prior.
On Wednesday, Johnson promised big improvements in 2026. In fact, he said running back Saquon Barkley will return to the historic production he put forth in the Eagles' 2024 campaign. Barkley led the league with 2,005 rushing yards through 16 games in 2024, also rushing for 13 touchdowns.
Last year, he rushed for 1,140 yards and seven scores. The Eagles will face off against the Patriots in a preseason matchup on Saturday. The following week, they'll close out their preseason schedule with a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Philadelphia's regular-season campaign will open up with a Week 1 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sept. 13.
