New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 4 of his 2025 NFL campaign. Nabers logged full practice participation on Wednesday as the Giants prepare for their Week 1 matchup against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. And on Thursday, the 23-year-old wide receiver star notched yet another full practice session.
However, Nabers won't publicly commit to playing against the Cowboys this coming weekend. He said the Giants are leaving the final decision up to him. "I grinded my [expletive] off, excuse my language.
I grinded, prayed hard, put in a consistent amount of work," Nabers said. "To be able to make the decision to play or not play." "It's my career and it's my body. If a pitch count is in the conversation, then I would lead that conversation," Nabers added.
"That decision would be on me." "I've been wanting to play for so long now," he continued. "At the end of the day, I can't put my career at risk. I got to take that into account.
There's a lot of football that I still have left to play." On Wednesday, Giants head coach John Harbaugh told reporters that he's choosing not to reveal certain things in order to keep that information away from the Cowboys. Nabers was asked if his reluctance to commit to playing had anything to do with that mentality. "By the look on my face, you feel like that's what it is?" Nabers replied.
The Cowboys and Giants will kickoff at 8:20 p.m.
