Trevor Lawrence led the Jacksonville Jaguars to a win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and officially achieved a career milestone.

On Sunday, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence led his team to a hard-fought 22-17 victory in Cincinnati over Joe Burrow and the Bengals, achieving a career milestone in the process. Before that win, Lawrence had never defeated the Bengals in his career, which began in 2021. With that win, he has officially defeated all other AFC teams during his time in the league.

In Sunday's road game, Lawrence completed 18 of 23 passes for 227 yards and a touchdown. On the other side, Burrow threw for a whopping 428 passing yards and a touchdown, but also had two interceptions. Making things more difficult for Burrow was losing one of the team's top offensive weapons, Ja'Marr Chase, to a concussion in the first half.

More news: Shedeur Sanders Rumors Heat Up as NFL Trade Deadline Nears Lawrence is off to a great start to this season, silencing doubters who thought he might struggle to remain Jacksonville's starter a few seasons ago. Last season, he put together his best record as a starter, leading the Jaguars to a 13-4 finish, helping them claim the AFC South and a playoff spot. If Lawrence can once again lead his team to the NFL Playoffs, it will mark the third time in his career and continue to shut down previous criticism suggesting he might not be the right quarterback for Jacksonville.

At 3-1 this season, they're the current division leaders and look on track for another big season. Lawrence has racked up 616 passing yards and is tied for fifth in the NFL with seven touchdowns thrown. Along with that, his 73.3 ranks fifth in the league.

So far, the former No. 1 pick out of Clemson has a career-best QBR, and his 107.8 passer rating is also a career-best. After last season's success, this Jaguars team seems to be among legitimate AFC contenders, but there are plenty of games remaining on the schedule. Jacksonville next hosts the NFC's Philadelphia Eagles (2-2) on Sunday, Oct. 11, followed by the Houston Texans (0-4) on Sunday, Oct. 18, which are two very winnable games.
