The New York Jets suffered another devastating defeat on Sunday, falling 31-24 to the Detroit Lions. It was the second straight week in which the Jets were in the fight all game and looked on the verge of pulling off another upset. But just like their Week 2 loss to the Packers, when they narrowly fell 20-17, the Lions hung on late and walked away with the win.
The Jets are now 1-2 on the season and are also dealing with an injury to one of their best players, running back Breece Hall. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Hall has been diagnosed with a quad injury after undergoing an MRI and is considered week-to-week. Hall suffered the injury during Sunday's loss to Detroit.

While initial fears were that he may have suffered a torn quad or another much more serious injury, it appears he may have only suffered a strain or bruise. Nonetheless, a week-to-week diagnosis isn't ideal for a team that needs wins now.
The Bills are undefeated, and the Patriots should eventually turn things around. With New York still scheduled to play both teams twice over the remainder of the season, the Jets will need all of their weapons at full strength. Those are all relatively winnable matchups, and games in which Braelon Allen could step in and take over as the lead back. Through the first three games of the season, Allen has 61 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown on 19 carries, along with 11 receiving yards on four catches.
