The Baltimore Ravens selected wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane with their No. 80 overall pick in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. As the start of the 2026 regular season quickly approaches, Lane is starting to gain some serious buzz as an immediate impact player for the Ravens' offense. The former USC standout has impressed many important Baltimore figures, including franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson.
When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Jackson compared Lane to two of his former wide receiver teammates: Odell Beckham Jr. and DeAndre Hopkins. Jackson called Lane, a 6-foot-4, 205 lbs WR, an "easy target," according to team insider Jamison Hensley of ESPN. Lane reeled in 49 catches for 745 yards and four touchdowns in his final collegiate season with USC.
The year prior, he had 43 catches for 525 yards and 12 touchdowns. Lane joins a Ravens wide receiver room led by Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Given the hype he's created with his elite play through training camp and preseason, he'll likely start the year as Baltimore's third WR option.
The Ravens will open up their regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 13.
