Michael Irvin Blames Dak Prescott for Confrontation With Stadium Worker

Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin called out Dak Prescott after his highly-publicized confrontation with a stadium worker.

As Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott walked down the hallway back into the locker room at AT&T Stadium, a third-party contracted stadium worker yelled "Embarrassing" in his direction. The worker was referencing the 24-16 loss the Cowboys just suffered to the previously-winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were led by an undrafted rookie quarterback on the road. "When he said it, I just happened to look at him, and at that point, he looked away," Prescott said of the incident postgame.

"And when I turned my head back, he said something else. And so that's the part that, just as a man or as just a person, feel free to speak your mind -- just speak it. Don't cower away from the reaction that you're going to get.

"And so, if you're saying it's embarrassing, say it's embarrassing. If you're saying it to me, then say it to me. So that's all that was, and hate that it's even being talked about, to be honest with you." While Prescott pushed back against this behavior, Cowboys legend Michael Irvin feels this stadium worker was completely justified in his callout of the Dallas QB.

"Go put some fire on them dudes that was in them [expletive] uniforms. That's what I'm talking about," Irvin said on the most recent episode of his podcast. "When that guy yelled 'embarrassing,' he was talking about, you've got everybody hoping and waiting that this is going to be different.

And it came out the same [expletive] way it has always been over the last 30 years. "I had no issue with that man yelling "embarrassing" because it was embarrassing. Point blank, period," Irvin added.

"You can have fight in you, but make sure you know who and when to fight. [Prescott] fighting him was not the [expletive] fight. Fighting them boys on the football field was the fight." "You ran from that fight. That's why I got an issue." The Cowboys will look to get back on track in a Week 6 matchup against the Green Bay Packers this coming Sunday.
