Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter provided an encouraging injury update on superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The Baltimore Ravens were without superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson for Sunday night's Week 5 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Jackson suffered a left ankle injury during the first half of last weekend's Week 4 victory over the Tennessee Titans, causing him to miss the remainder of the game. He was replaced by backup QB Tyler Huntley, who also led the team to victory over the Falcons on Sunday night.

Huntley completed 24 of his 32 pass attempts for 201 yards and two touchdowns as the Ravens' starter. The 28-year-old backup also rushed for what would ultimately be the game-winning touchdown in overtime at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. While Huntley was great in Jackson's absence, the Ravens would love to get their superstar signal caller back on the field as soon as possible.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter provided a positive update regarding Jackson's status when speaking to reporters on Monday. "Ravens coach Jesse Minter said Lamar Jackson is 'definitely doing better' with his sprained left ankle, which caused him to miss Sunday's game," team insider Jamison Hensley reported. "Minter believes the team will know more about Jackson's status by the middle of the week.

He isn't sure whether Jackson will practice Wednesday." "He's doing everything he can to get back out there," Minter added. The 4-1 Ravens will face off against the division-rival Cleveland Browns in a Week 6 matchup this coming Sunday.
