The Baltimore Ravens have been without superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson in each of their last three games. Jackson is dealing with a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 4 and is currently listed as questionable to play in Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens are 1-2 with Jackson off the field, dropping each of their last two games against the division-rival Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.
The team desperately needs their leader back in action — a fact running back Derrick Henry made very evident when speaking to reporters on Wednesday. "He's the heart and soul of this offense. He's the leader of this offense.
Any time he's out there, it's always great," Henry said. "I know he wants to be out there to put us in the best position to win. "I’m going to be excited when he’s back out there.” Jackson's absence has clearly affected Henry's effectiveness in the run game.
Over each of the last two games, the all-time great running back has failed to notch a single rushing touchdown or surpass 60 rushing yards. Jackson participated in Wednesday's practice session — a good sign for his availability this weekend. Sunday's Ravens-Bills matchup will kick off at 1 p.m.
