The Tennessee Titans fell to 0-3 on the season after another poor showing on offense in the team's 12-7 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. As a result, questions are quickly mounting about the long-term future of second-year quarterback Cam Ward. Dating back to the 2025 season, Ward's first as an NFL quarterback, the former Miami product has certainly struggled to show much consistency.
Ward put the Titans in position to steal a win on the road against the Giants, mounting a drive that reached the red zone on the team's final possession of the game. However, with under 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Ward threw a game-sealing interception to Giants safety Jevon Holland. Given that this latest loss puts Ward's career record as an NFL starting quarterback at 3-16, it is certainly fair to question whether the Titans could consider other options at the quarterback position now or in the near future.
Reporters did just this when speaking with Titans head coach Robert Saleh following Sunday's game. It could very well take some time for Ward to start to get comfortable learning a new offensive scheme. Still, Saleh and the Titans coaching staff can seemingly only wait so long for Ward to come into his own as an NFL quarterback before the poor offensive showings start to paint a negative picture about their abilities as coaches. Ward and the Titans will look to bounce back next when they take to the road to face off against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4.
