Seahawks Could Get Major Offensive Boost for Week 7 vs Chiefs

The Seattle Seahawks could get a major offensive boost before next Sunday's primetime Week 7 matchup against the Chiefs.

The reigning Super Bowl-champion Seattle Seahawks have been hurting at the running back position to begin the 2026 NFL season. With reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker off to join the Kansas City Chiefs, the Seahawks drafted running back Jadarian Price with the final pick of the first round. However, Price is on injured reserve with a chest injury he suffered in Week 2 and re-aggravated before Week 4.

Since then, the Seahawks have been operating with Emanuel Wilson and George Holani at the running back position. The Seahawks have a major offensive boost on the horizon as running back Zach Charbonnet continues to work his way back from the torn ACL injury he suffered in last year's divisional round. Charbonnet could return to the field as early as next Sunday night's primetime Week 7 matchup against the Chiefs, according to ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler.

"Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet has a legitimate chance to make his season debut in Week 7 vs. Kansas City, multiple sources say," Fowler reports. Charbonnet split backfield work with Walker throughout the 2025 season, rushing for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns.

If he's able to return to the field in Week 7, he'll matchup against his former running back teammate. This week, the Seahawks will take the field for a "Thursday Night Football" matchup against the Denver Broncos.
