It’s been only a few months since the news of the Fourth Wing TV series was announced by Amazon, and it looks like they are absolutely moving fast to make it happen. The series has reportedly already cast its Violet and Xaden, according to new reports. According to Deadline, Esther McGregor has been cast as Violet Sorrengai, while Emilio Sakraya will play Xaden Riorson.
While Amazon did not respond to their request for comment, sources close to the production confirmed the news to the trade publication. Esther McGregor previously starred as Mirren Sinclair Sheffield in We Were Liars. Meanwhile, Emilio Sakraya appeared as JC in Warrior Nun and will soon appear in season 3 of One Piece as Koza.
Other casting has yet to be revealed, but it looks like plans to put the show together are moving quickly after its series order was revealed back in May. Part of that team includes Michael B. Jordan and his production company Outlier Society.
Meredith Averill, who worked on The Haunting of Hill House and Locke & Key, is adapting the book for television and will also serve as the series’s showrunner and executive producer. Lisa Joy, who is also an executive producer on the series and directed episodes of Westworld and Fallout, will direct the pilot. Hopefully, more info about additional casting and filming start will be revealed soon!
