The best thing about Love Island USA: The drama doesn’t end when the Islanders leave the Villa. In fact, Islanders can make headlines years after the fact, as evidenced by the fact that season 5’s Vickala “Kay Kay” Gray and Kassandra “Kassy” Castillo are currently engaged in a heated online battle...and reportedly, it revolves around season 2’s Johnny Middlebrooks. It all (seemingly) began in September, when Kay Kay posted a TikTok talking about how “friendship breakups low-key hurt way more than regular relationship breakups.” She didn’t name any names, but fans couldn’t help but notice that she hadn’t been posting with her bestie Kassy as frequently...and the two seemingly no longer followed each other.
But it wasn’t until November that things really heated up. On November 5, Daniela Ortiz (who became friends with Kassy when she appeared as a Bombshell on season 6) got involved, posting a (since-deleted) TikTok in which she calls out people who act like victims despite being in the wrong. Names are not mentioned, but fans jump to the conclusion that—just like with Kay Kay—she’s talking about Kassy.
Not long after, season 6 alum Andrea Carmona enters the chat, taking to TikTok to tell a story that’s seemingly about an interaction with Kassy at an October 2025 Celsius event (though once again, the name “Kassy” is never mentioned)...and Andrea seemingly accuses Kassy of hitting on her boyfriend, Matt Dubost (aka DJ Acaze). The video has since been deleted, but of course, the internet has receipts. Kassy posted a TikTok in response to Andrea’s story, saying she isn’t sure where these rumors started, but she never came on to Andrea’s boyfriend at the Celsius event.
So why would I reach out? We all unfollowed her for a reason.” Andrea also dropped a comment reading, “ALSO DISCLAIMER: I got permission from the friend to speak on this bc she over it too.” Which of course has everyone asking, “Which friend? Which guy?” Finally, names are names.
Kassy posted a second TikTok, where she (1) calls out Andrea for getting involved in a situation that doesn’t involve her, (2) shares that she and Kay Kay are no longer friends, and (3) reveals that it’s because she had a “one-night stand” with season 2’s Johnny while he was hooking up with Kay Kay. Oh, and about her fallout with Daniela? It apparently had to do with a confessional from the Unwell Summer Games (on which Kassy and Daniela both appeared), where Kassy admitted to “kind of stealing her man” when asked about her relationship with Daniela.
According to Kassy, that comment was made in reference to Rob Rausch and it was very much meant to be a joke...but apparently, Daniela didn’t take it that way! Kay Kay commented on Kassy’s second video, writing, “Kassy we both know this has so little to do with a man and everything to do with the betrayal of our friendship.” In response, Kassy apologized for taking the drama online but pointed out that Andrea posted about it first and “mentioned she got approval” to talk about the situation from Kay Kay. Andrea posted her third (and, hopefully, final) TikTok about the drama, alleging that “there are four other girls I can name that were quote unquote your friends that you have intentionally went for their ex-boyfriend or their current situationship.” After sliding into Kassy’s TikTok comments to write, “This was just the tipping point” and “everyone has their own stories to tell about you,” Daniela posts yet another TikTok, saying, “I have my own reasons for not being friends with Kassy.
